In consecutive weeks, both LFL expansion franchises have been rather rudely welcomed into the league with Baltimore getting trounced 60-6 by Philadelphia and tonight the league’s No.1 ranked Tampa Breeze blew past the Orlando Fantasy 47-6. Despite a great off-season of preparation in the Magic Kingdom which included identifying several potential marquis caliber players like WR Jenny Kraus, TE JJ Thacker, RB Quiana Welch and QB Veronica Moor, the Fantasy’s wings were clipped on opening night. The slaughter started early with Tampa’s offense driving the ball consistently down the field behind the running of perhaps the most under-rated running backs in the league in Tiffani Powers and its short passing game en route to a 28-0 halftime lead.
